On the afternoon of April 22, 2017, the 6th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition & the 5th "Pearl River Angel Cup" Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition officially kicked off. The competition was hosted by Guangdong Science and Technology Department, Guangdong Productivity Promotion Center, Guangdong Yueke Financial Group and Guangdong Yuesheng Kelong Technology Development Co., Ltd.

According to statistics, in 2017, the number of enterprises in the Guangdong branch increased to 4,197. There are 2,642 exhibitors in Guangzhou city, and the number of registered companies ranks first in provincial capital cities. In terms of national competitions, there are 1 second prize, 6 third prizes and 86 excellent prizes belonging to the Guangdong branch.
